Contact centers as an effective element of information warfare and social assistance
A few years ago, we could not even imagine that we would be discussing the role of the contact center in the conditions of global upheavals that lead to real human casualties. Unfortunately, in 2020-2022 it has become the norm, as horrible as it sounds. It is in such situations that values are reassessed, and new rules are formed.
Continuing the topic of omnichannel contact center opportunities in new realities, it is safe to say that contact centers have forever changed their attitude towards themselves. Today, when Ukraine is going through some of the most difficult times in its history, contact centers have actually been able to prove their practical utility and real effectiveness.
At the very beginning of the war, contact centers became one of the most effective tools for influencing russian society and fighting propaganda – the russian mass media reported an unprecedented number of calls. As a rule, it was contact centers that helped to optimize the flow of appeals to volunteers and military administrations, and also became an effective element of the system of international humanitarian aid.
Unfortunately, for the majority of Ukrainian society, russia’s direct military aggression came as a surprise, but we are learning to live in such conditions, we strive to support our Army and the economy of Ukraine. Contact centers not only actively participate in the volunteer movement and social projects, but also become the basis of state communications with citizens. Dozens of new hotlines are being opened, complex projects that took years in peacetime are being implemented in a short time. In addition, as experience shows, it is the contact centers that have become an indispensable element of the search system for Ukrainian prisoners of war who have «disappeared» and dead citizens.
